Old School Cookies, A Creation of My Own!
2 cups flour
1.5 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1.5 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
3 tbs of cream cheese
1.5 cup chocolate chips
Add your butter and sugars to a bowl and beat till creamy - I use my stand mixer with the beater attachment!
Add in your egg, cream cheese and beat again. If using vanilla, add it in now!
Mix in the plain flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, cornstarch and salt then add them to the wet ingredients and beat till a cookie dough is formed!
Add in your Chocolate Chips and mix till they're distributed well!
Once they're mixed put your cookie dough in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, or in the fridge for an hour or so!
While the cookie dough is chilling, preheat your oven to 180C or 350F.
Take your cookies out of the freezer/fridge and put onto a lined baking tray. and form 12 cookies. Flatten them a bit if you like your cookies flat.
Bake the cookies in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
Once baked, leave them to cool on the tray for at least 30 minutes, as they will continue to bake whilst cooling. ENJOY!
