GARLIC SHRIMP WITH CHILI CRISP



INGREDIENTS:


  • 2 pounds large shrimps (peeled and deveined)

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking

  • 5 cloves garlic (chopped)

  • 1 tsp ginger

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tsp season salt

  • 1 tsp garlic salt

  • 2 tbs soy sauce

  • 6 stalks scallions (roughly chopped)

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

FOR THE SAUCE:

  • 1 tablespoon chili crisp

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tsp chili garlic sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce

INSTRUCTIONS:


  • Put shrimps in a bowl and add all the spices, soy sauce and baking soda. Mix using your fingers until the shrimps are evenly coated. Leave to marinate for an hour

  • Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.

  • Coat your shrimp with cornstarch

  • In a pan over medium high heat, add oil and when the oil is hot, add garlic and cook for a minute.

  • Add shrimp and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, until shrimps are cooked through.

  • Add sauce and toss until the shrimps are evenly coated with.

  • Add scallions and cook for 1 minute

  • Transfer to a bowl or plate and serve with rice. Enjoy !
